January 2010 — Changes to our website

As you know, AONE has entered the 21st Century and stopped printing and mailing a regularly scheduled newsletter in favor of switching our club communications to an electronic format. This way, we’ll be able to announce events as soon as they’re conceived, and report on them shortly after they happen. No waiting for the next monthly issue to roll around!

This change has also allowed us to reorganize our website to be event- and topic-driven rather than be tied to monthly issues. So when you click on the Events button, you'll see a list of past and future events of interest to Alfisti, with links to announcements of future events and reports on past ones (going back to 2004). What's more, you can use the pull-down menus at the top to display the events sorted by type (Competition, Tech Session, Tours, etc.), or by calendar year, or by both. For example, you can get a list of just the Car Show events that took place in 2009.

The Articles section contains a compilation of all of the various articles that have appeared on this website over the years. It works in very much the same way as the Events section, in that you can display the articles sorted by type (Club Business, Reviews, Travel, etc.), or by calendar year, or by both. For example, you can get a list of just the Technical articles that appeared in 2008.
