... The Banquet

The Banquet is the event where everyone gets together for a huge communal gathering of Alfisti. Since this is an Italian car club, we'll be holding our banquet the only way that makes sense—as a buffet-style Italian feast.

After a full Saturday of Autocrossing, Road Rallying, and Tech Sessions, we'll first mingle for a while at a pre-banquet Cocktail Reception starting around 6:00 pm. Then we'll drift into the Radisson Banquet Hall for the main event. A wide assortment of Italian specialties is promised by our convention hotel hosts.

After dinner, we'll hear some remarks by several Alfa Romeo luminaries, including our Alfa Romeo Owners Club President and the President of your host chapter, Alfa Owners of New England. And then we'll be treated to a talk by the Giulietta Giubilee keynote speaker. And "treat" is the right word.

Henry Wessells has been associated with Alfa Romeo for over fifty years. As an enthusiast, he has owned and raced everything from a 6C 3000 CM and Tipo B to Giuliettas. As an engineer, he consulted with Alfa Romeo, working with Ing. Satta, who designed many of the pre-war Alfa engines and the post-war 1900, the pre-cursor to the Giulietta and all modern 4 cylinder Alfa engines, and Ing. Chiti, director of Autodelta, Alfa's racing department in the '60s. As a historian, his extensive knowledge is sought out from Alfisti worldwide. Henry continues to be active in the local and global Alfa Romeo community from his home outside of Philadelphia.

An Italian smorgasbord, interesting speakers, and a few hundred of your Alfa buddies—what's not to like?
