European Union Auto Show
Sunday, June 14 |
Automobiles and
motorcycles from all European nations are invited to the third annual European
Union Auto Show held on the rolling lawns of the
Lower Events Field at the Heritage Museums & Gardens on June 14th from 10 am to
2 pm, rain or shine. In celebration of the 40th anniversary of the founding of
Heritage, the show will include a special display of cars from European cars
from the year 1969. So if your Alfa’s a ‘69, you’ll get an extra-special spot!
Participants
will compete for various class awards and spectators can vote for their
favorite cars. Dash plaques will be given to the first 100 cars. Show cars
will be displayed on various lawns throughout the Heritage grounds. Vehicle
registration is held from 8-10 am and the show begins at 10 am. The
registration fee is $15 in advance and $20 the day of the show. Judging will
be conducted from 11 am - 1 pm. The award ceremony begins at 1:30 pm and the
event concludes at 2 pm.
This family-friendly auto show will
also include a special family tour of the antique car collection and
children’s automotive craft activities. Heritage is home to the J.K. Lilly
III Antique Automobile Museum, which showcases the museum’s extensive
collection of American antique automobiles. And this event will be smack in
the middle of the Heritage Gardens peak rhododendron bloom!
