A Pilgrimage to the 2008

Former AONE member John Legelis
(he went over to the Dark Side and drives a
Boxster, but swears he’ll be an Alfa owner again one day) made a
pilgrimage to the Goodwood Revival held on September 19-21. He sent
a few photos and the following remarks:
"OK, just returned late last
night from the Goodwood Revival, and I’m still stunned: Gorgeous
setting, genteel attendees, and of course … the freakin’ cars! Dear
God — 250 Testa Rossas (one driven by Bobby Rahal) and GTOs at full
speed, a gaggle of pre-war Alfas and Maseratis drifting
wheel-to-wheel, deafening GT40s, sublime C-types … I was running in
circles and frothing like a rabid possum. ‘Just go’ — that’s all I
can say right now — ‘Just go’.
"Here are some paddock shots
of the brace of Alfa Romeo P3 Tipo Bs at the event, and a few other
photos. Regrettably, I didn’t bring my ‘good’ camera because the
paddock tickets were all sold out, although the small barrier fences
weren’t enough to dissuade this boorish American from crashing the
party…"
