new England Alfisti: It’s race time again! May 13th-18th are the dates for this year’s annual New Hampshire Vintage Celebration, a weekend of Vintage Sports Car Racing at New Hampshire Motor Speedway (formerly the New Hampshire International Speedway - NHIS) in Loudon. The celebration runs from Tuesday through Sunday—here’s what’s going on:

• Vintage racing on the oval Tuesday through Thursday

• On Friday, Saturday and Sunday, vintage racing sports cars
and motorcycles take to the road circuit.

AONE will again set up its canopy in the infield with our banner on it so that you can find us (it’s a big place). We’ll have a cooler full of soft drinks and a few munchable items available for club members and guests. For lunch, there won’t be a BBQ grill this time, but you can either bring something with you or buy lunch at the track cafeteria. In either case, haul it over to the AONE canopy and chow down with your Alfa buds!

This is a great opportunity to see vintage Alfas and many other sports cars and motorcycles on (and off) the track. There will be some AONE members racing, so come cheer them on! Bring a chair if you like and stroll through the infield amongst the beautiful vintage cars and bikes.

Get yourself an early start Saturday, drive up to Loudon, buy your infield tickets ($25 for the whole weekend), and look for an Alfa Romeo flag hanging from a canopy somewhere in the pit/infield area! In previous years, we’ve had a fine turnout of 25 or more Alfisti and had a great time! There’s something special about watching these 40-, 50-, and 60-year-old sports cars racing as if they were new—a time warp! Come on up!

• Get on Interstate 93 toward Concord, NH.
• Take Exit 15E to Interstate 393 East.
• Take I-393 east to Exit 3 (NH Route 106).
• At the light at the end of the off-ramp, turn left onto 106 North.
• The track is 9 miles up Route 106, on your right.
