As is the custom, there will be a Columbus Day Parade in Boston on Sunday, October 7th. But this year the organizers have asked Mike Iandoli (acting Director of the Larz Anderson Auto Museum) to get some Italian cars to participate. This means us! The parade will leave from City Hall Plaza, wind through the North End, and finish up at the Coast Guard base on Commercial Street. Parade participants will be gathering around 11:00 am, it shoves off at 1:00 pm sharp, and ends at about 2:30 pm. This sounds like a really nice event for our club—especially the city-dwellers among us! What more fitting venue to show off your Alfa than in Boston’s North End on Columbus Day? We’ll get to drive and display our vehicles and enjoy Italian company, food, music, refreshments, and all the trappings. Molto bene! And if we get enough Alfas to take part, we can be grouped into our own section of the parade! The New England Ferrari club has already signed on. For more details and to indicate your interest, please contact Mike at mjiandoli@hotmail.com or 617-699-1727 (cell).
Come on out—everyone loves a parade!
