can’t get enough of this vintage racing thing?  May 16th-20th are the dates for this year’s annual New Hampshire Vintage Celebration, a weekend of vintage sports car racing at New Hampshire International Speedway in Loudon. The celebration runs from Wednesday through Sunday—here’s what’s going on:

• Vintage racing on the oval on Wednesday & Thursday

• On Friday, Saturday and Sunday, vintage racing sports cars and motorcycles take to the road circuit

• Saturday also features The Elegance—a terrific concours with one hundred of the finest vehicles in the world on display

AONE won’t be cooking burgers this year as we’ve done in the past, but don’t let that stop you! Come up to Loudon for any and all of the weekend and, if you’re around on Saturday, make your way to the vicinity of the infield restaurant at around noon to link up with your fellow Alfisti. We’ll grab a bite together and share our impressions.

But wait—there’s more! Long-time Alfa Romeo service and restoration shop owner Paul Glynn reports that he’ll be there racing this year! And there are likely to be a few other AONE members with racing inclinations out on the track, as well as many other Alfas from outside New England. So come cheer them on!

This is a great opportunity to see vintage Alfas and many other sports cars and motorcycles on (and occasionally off) the track. Bring a chair if you’d like and stroll through the infield amongst the beautiful vintage cars and bikes. For more info, check out the NHIS web site.

There’s something special about watching these 40-, 50-, and 60-year-old sports cars racing as if they were new—a time warp! Come on up!
