Alfas and Alfisti at the Jaguar Club
Dyno Day at KTR Motorsports

By Dave Pratt

if you’re on the AONE email distribution list  (contact webmaster@velocissima.com if you’re not), you knew that the New England Jaguar club had invited AONE to participate in their Dyno Day at KTR Motorsports on April 28th. A couple of our members took up their generous offer—Jonathan Kirshtein in his GTV6 and Peter Walker in his, well, Mini
Cooper S.

But another valid reason for visiting KTR, of course, is just to ogle their facility and the myriad wonderful cars under their roof, as many of us discovered when AONE had a tour of their digs a year or so ago. The cars there vary from time to time, but that just adds to the attraction. The place is like a candy store for grown-ups…

Back to business, Jonathan was satisfied to discover that his hot 3L GTV6 was making a healthy 178 HP at the wheels (bettering all of the higher-displacement Jags present, incidentally). And Peter was happy to see that his Mini was reading only a few horsepower less than the manufacturer’s rating at the engine, with text-book-perfect power and torque curves.

Add to that an excellent lunch and some enjoyable chat with the gentlemen of the Jaguar persuasion, and it made for a pleasant Saturday.Tiny Quadrifoglio
