Tutto Italiano - Italian Car Day

Sunday, August 6

For those of you who’ve been watching and wondering when this year’s Tutto Italiano will be held, it’s now been cast in stone. The date for this year’s Italian Car extravaganza has been set for Sunday, August 6th (not Saturday, the 5th)! This is great news for us Italian car lovers, since August means that we’ve a better crack at having favorable weather than the usual May timeframe, and Sunday means that there isn’t a conflict with the VSCCA Summer Sprints at Lime Rock, so we should have an even better turnout. You can be sure that we AONErs will be making our presence known with our tents and banners, as well as with our shiny Alfas.

From a recently-received release:

"The Larz Anderson Auto Museum is teaming up with several area businesses to host Tutto Italiano presented by Elyse Fine Jewelers of Reading, MA, August 5-6, 2006. The Museum will host one of the biggest Italian Car Events on the East Coast, the 11th Annual Tutto Italiano. This year the event is expanding to include Italian motorcycles, and some of the finest Italian clothing, jewelry and furniture on the east coast. Two days of rallies, dinner, luncheons, concours, interior design displays, a fashion show, music and activities for the whole family are planned.

"With over 300 Italian vehicles in attendance, the Show Day, August 6, begins at 9:00 AM. From the newest motorcycle member of the Ducati family to vintage Ferraris, visitors will have a chance to view some of the finest vehicles in the world. Vehicle highlights planned for this year include a Murciélago Lamborghini and an Enzo Ferrari. In addition, a vintage concours presented by members of the Vintage Sports Car Club of America, featuring several pre-war Alfa Romeos, an early example of a Mille Miglia Maserati, an unrestored 1962 GTO, several Lusso Ferraris, and more. Throughout the day visitors will be treated to tours of the vehicles, children’s photo opportunities, Italian food and entertainment. The show will also feature other great marques such as Moto Guzzi, Fiat, DeTomaso and Lancia."

Wow! Should be quite a show!
