Also on Father’s Day, the Portsmouth Rotary Club and VMCCA Viking Chapter are presenting the 50th annual Newport Motor Car Festival on the grounds of the Portsmouth Abbey School in Portsmouth, RI. Registration is just $10 per car and runs from 10am to 12pm. The Newport Concert Band performs at 1pm; awards at 2pm; coffee and donuts available until 11am; and a picnic lunch will be provided by Foodworks of Portsmouth. Your car may be judged if you choose.

This is a great show, with usually about 300-400 cars, picturesque grounds, and it’s cheap to enter. You can find a map, directions, and more info at the Newport Motor Car Festival web site. Last year, Rod Burdick and Ken Greene were the only AONErs there, and they encourage us to gather up a group of Alfas and attend!
