ighteen Alfas, lots of fun people, winding back roads, and a beautiful day.
Simply said, this year’s Giro was fabulous!
After meticulous preparation by John Percival and Guilherme Bonatto, we were ready to receive the fleet of Alfas in our home town of Peterborough, NH. Thanks to more advanced notice than the inaugural tour of a year ago, we were able to get a much larger turnout than last year’s fun but somewhat Alfa-starved event.
This year, we started off from the center of Peterborough, where Alfisti were able to shop, dine, and chat before heading onto our prepared course. With directions in hand, we left at about 1 pm on our 40+ mile drive through the back roads of the Monadnock region (hence the name). We had lots of photo opportunities at a handful of rest stops that were carefully chosen in order to leave our guests with the best impression of this beautiful region.
Hopefully, everyone was able to enjoy our selection of roads,
and maybe next year we can have 25+ Alfas!![]()
[Many thanks to the Bonatto and Percival families for planning this delightful day! And weather-wise we’re hugely two-for-two!—Ed.]
