Italian
Car Tech Session in Stamford, CT
Sunday, November 9
A free Technical Session and Social Gathering of Italian car owners will be sponsored by the Northeast Coast Chapter of Fiat Lancia Unlimited (FLU) beginning at 11:00 am at Expert Auto Repair, 480 West Main Street (Route 1) in Stamford, CT. Last year, 25 owners of Fiats, Lancias, Alfas, and Ferraris attended this event (see the photo).
Joe Magnifico of Expert Auto and Danny O'Donnell of Fun Imported Auto and Toys will demonstrate and explain such things as the installation/replacement of brakes, ball joints, flex joints, electronic ignition pick-ups; valve adjustments and preparing your car for winter storage. For the demonstrations, Joe and Danny will accept a volunteered car from the participants. If there are any special topics that you would like to have covered, please give your suggestion when you contact event organizer Tim Beeble at beeblet@umich.edu or 203-743-4954. For lunch, pizza will be ordered with the cost shared. There will be plenty of time to meet the other Italian car owners and look at each other's cars. Feel free to bring some spare parts that you wish to sell. If time and weather permit, there will be a drive through the back roads of Stamford and Greenwich.

the corner of West Main Street and West Avenue in Stamford. Enter the shop from
the rear parking lot. From I-95 westbound, take Exit 6 "West Ave", turn right
(north), and proceed three blocks north. The shop is on your right. From I-95
eastbound, take Exit 6 "Harvard Ave." Go straight off the ramp to the second
traffic light. Turn left (north) and proceed four blocks to Expert Auto, which

Saturday, November 15
We’re getting close to another of the ever-popular tech sessions at Glynn Motorsports—November 15
th! Paul Glynn and Company will again be the hosts for AONE’s Fall Tech Session and Swap Meet, a true club institution. So bring your Alfa and whatever parts or Alfabilia you might have lying around—we’ll be having a swap meet in the parking lot.

In recent tech sessions, Paul has just made himself available for questions and answers, sort of like a wandering minstrel. This time, he’s offered to do it a little differently and answer our questions a bit more formally: We’ll all gather at around 11:00 and Paul will field questions from the group, sort of like a wise old sage.

Despite the event’s name, you don’t have to have grease beneath your fingernails to enjoy one of these gatherings! There are lots of various Alfas to admire in the parking lot, always lots of interesting cars in Paul’s shop, and lots of fellow Alfa enthusiasts to compare notes with. You might even consider it a family affair! Given that it’ll be the middle of November, Paul has promised to keep the thermostat cranked up to 70 degrees.
Glynn Motorsports is located at 120 Rear Haverhill Street, Rowley, MA 01909. Directions: From I-95 take Route 133 East toward Rowley, straight through a traffic light crossing Route 1, 1-2 miles and turn right at the sign for Glynn Motorsports. Proceed warily as you get close, since it’s easy to miss, although we’ll try to have our Alfa banners out front. There is a large lot to park, show your parts, and display your car.
The doors will open as usual at 10AM—AONE will be supplying coffee and
pastries. Later, some of those great roll-up sandwiches we’ve had in the past
will arrive (donations to help defray the cost will be gratefully accepted). See
