All of our members were notified by email or postcard of the Spring Kick-Off Meeting that took place Sunday, March 23rd at Papa Razzi Ristorante on Route 2 in Concord. Approximately 25 members—old, new, and members of the Board of Directors—got together over some fine Italian-style food and drink and shared ideas for events for the coming year. There was plenty of just-plain car talk enjoyed as well. The number of new members attending was gratifying, and we hope to see these folks involved in our club as the year progresses.
Our
club President, Tom Lesko, passed around a list of suggested events and obtained
written and verbal comments for improving on past types of events, including
gimmick rallies and fund-raisers. There will be plenty for the Board to work on
in the next few weeks as they hammer out the year’s schedule. This is not to say
that the events will be etched in stone, as ideas for a new event can (and do)
take place at any time during the year. All it takes is an idea, and the
motivation to follow it through.
I want to thank the following individuals for attending the first (Annual!) Spring Kick-Off Meeting, and look forward to many more. [And we’d like to thank Kevin for organizing this fine affair!—Ed.] Now does anyone out there want to host a tune-up or bodywork clinic?
