‘71 Berlina 1750 up for sale, having replaced it with an immaculate ‘69 Giulia
Super that he found while on a trip to Europe. He was asking $2200 for the car, a
reasonable price. Then, when the September 11 terrorist attack occurred, an inspiration
befell him. He decided to offer the car at $1000, with the entire amount going to the New
York Times 9/11 Fund, to aid the families of the victims of the tragedy. Perhaps you read
his Classified Ad in the last issue of Velocissima.
Well, Todd’s Berlina has a new owner! Mark Patterson of Falmouth, MA stepped up to the plate, wrote a check for $1000 to the 9/11 Fund, and drove it away! Next time you see an Oliva Metallizzato Berlina driving around Cape Cod, give it a big thumbs up, because this is a very special car. Kudos to both Todd and Mark on the execution of this very special deal.
