Whew! Made it back from my cross-country journey to import yet another GTV 2000 from the west coast just in time to crank out this issue. Seems like the last one just went out! Well, taking back roads all the way, plus a little three-day detour for repairs, meant that my brother and I were on the road for nearly two weeks. Of course, I’d do it again at the drop of a hat! If you missed it, you can still view our daily shenanigans at www.dvpratt.com/RoadTrip2001.

Well, our Election of Officers is behind us—thanks to all of you who took the time to vote even though there wasn’t much being contested. We welcome Peter Walker of Beverly, MA as a new member of our Board! See Page 8 for a summary of the election results.

I’m happy to report that our campaign to cut down on as many printed copies of our newsletter as possible is meeting with good success. Here are the names of the members who’ve signed up for our online-only program thus far:

DiMatteo, Ducibella, Durso, Fannon, Freiberger, Fulchino, Galdston, Hayes, Kirshtein, LaFerriere, Matson, McGeough, Melo, Murphy, Murray, D. Pratt, Rader, Rand, R. And don’t forget about our free coffee mug offer! If you’re on online-only member, you’re entitled to one of our spiffy AONE coffee mugs, complete with our colorful logo and web site URL, absolutely free! We won’t be shipping these mugs—you have to pick them up at an event. So why not sign up, and then show up at Italian Car Day and snag yourself a mug? Just send a note to webmaster@velocissima.com and we’ll take care of everything else.

Yup, June is the month when it officially becomes summertime—the tops go down, the windows roll down, and we New Englanders get to enjoy our Alfas to the hilt. For one thing, we really get to hear our Alfa engines sing—the happy revving of our twin-cam fours, the mechanical symphony of our V-sixes, and the exotic sounds of some of the more esoteric models. Get out there and enjoy ‘em!   Tiny Quadrifoglio
