Editor's Corner

Have You Ever Drawn a Mental Blank?

by Dave Pratt
Velocissima Editor

Well, your editor has this month. I spent a lot of January trying to come up with some deep, meaningful Alfa content for the Editor’s Corner. But nothing happened. Then these last couple of days, I really put my mind to it—still nothing. At last I realized what the problem was: it’s winter! Nothing did happen! I haven’t even heard the sound of an Alfa since—when was it?—before Thanksgiving?

But that’s all about to change! Our first event of the year, the AONE Winter Party, got us thinking Alfas again. By the time you read this, it’ll be February, a short month. Then there will start being occasional nice, warm, dry days to sneak our cars out and, before we know it, spring!

We continue to receive AONE Newsletter Survey forms, both online and through the mail. If you haven’t submitted one yourself, please take a moment and do it now! Either submit the form online or dig out last month’s Velocissima and mail it in. It’s very important that your voice be heard! Next month, we’ll report the results and let you know where things are headed.

Along that line, for the first time ever, this issue of Velocissima is available online on this web site as a downloadable Adobe Acrobat PDF file. This means that, if you wish, you can print it out in color and/or cart it around with you on your laptop. Click here to learn more! Please let us know what you think about this new service by sending an email to the Webmaster.

By the way, I decided to address the problem of not hearing the sound of an Alfa for such a long time—click the Home button on the left and then click on the big Alfa Romeo emblem. (Make sure that your speakers are cranked up.) It’ll help you get your Alfa fix. (No, Peter Walker, it won’t help you get your Alfa fixed.)

Sheesh—I guess I had a little something to say after all...   Tiny Quadrifoglio
