The Great Wachusett
Hillclimb and Brewery Tour
Saturday, October 14
Its
almost here! AONEs Annual Fall Tour will be to Wachusett Mountain and the
nearby Wachusett Brewery in Westminster, Massachusetts. Fall colors will be sure to add
the perfect background for this breathtaking ride to the top of the mountain, where the
fresh air will provoke the appetite and warm the spirit.
As with last years winery tour, we will invite along the folks from New England Triumphs to add an interesting accent to the event (just dont let em pass you!) and we will have plenty of photo opportunities.
We will start the day off by meeting at the bottom of Wachusett Mountain ("Mountain Road") at 10:30AM and then caravan to the top to take in the breathtaking views. Afterward, we will descend the mountain for a drive to the Wachusett Village Inn for lunch.
From there, well drive to the home of the Wachusett Brewery, where well get a tour of the brewing facilities, sample a draft, and have a chance to purchase the companys products (they have T-shirts!) before leaving.
Nows the time to let me know if you are coming with us, so email me (Kevin Murphy) or call me at 508-820-7759 (days) or 508-879-1881(evenings). See you October 14! (By the way, this is not Columbus Day weekend!)
Directions: Take Route 2 to Exit 25 (Route 140). Take Route 140 South about 3 miles to Mile High Road on the right. There is a big "Wachusett Mountain Ski Area" sign at this intersection. Continue on Mile High Road about 2 miles, past the Ski Area base lodge, continuing uphill to a road on the right with a big sign "Wachusett Mountain State Reservation". Turn in there, and continue to your right about 100 yards to a parking area on the right. At that point, youll be handed maps for the rest of the event.

AONE Tech
Session/Swap Meet at Glynn Motorsports
Saturday, November 4
Glynn
Motorsports will be the scene of AONEs next popular Tech Session and Swap
Meet on November 4 beginning at 10AM. The topic this time will be Transmissions, as
several members have requested. Paul Glynn will talk about gearing, lightened gears,
noises to worry about and noises to just turn up your radio for, shifting stuff (does
yours pop out of reverse or have a second gear synchro gremlin?), and related issues.
So bring your Alfa and whatever parts or Alfabilia you might have lying around well be having a swap meet in the parking lot. And, as usual, Paul always has lots of interesting cars around over which you may salivate, if youre careful to clean up after yourself.
Glynn Motorsports is located at 120 Rear Haverhill Street, Rowley, MA 01909. Directions: From I-95 take Route 133 East toward Rowley, straight through a traffic light crossing Route 1, 1-2 miles and turn right at the sign for Glynn Motorsports. Proceed warily as you get close, since its easy to miss. There is a large lot to park and show your parts, display your car, or secretly dump some old motor oil underneath somebody elses car to see their reaction.
The festivities begin at 10AM and AONE will be supplying light food and drink! See you there!
