Pot Luck Winter Dinner Party
Plans Are Under Way
January 15 - Saturday

Mark your brand new Y2K calendars for Saturday, January 15, 2000! It’s the first-of-the-millennium AONE Winter Dinner Party! This year’s affair will be held at the Josiah Smith Tavern in Weston, MA, the site of several joyous AONE bashes of years gone by.

We’ve decided that the best way to get the best food for our soiree will be — to bring our own food! So it’s pot luck! If you make risotto genovese, bring risotto genovese. If you make zabaglione, bring zabaglione. If you make succotash, bring chips and dip. There will be a kitchen available to warm things up.

The club will be supplying soft drinks, but if you prefer something a tad heartier, feel free to bring your own.

We plan to kick things off at 6PM. Significant others are more than welcome. Dress is casual.

Entertainment (in addition to the way we tend to naturally entertain each other) is in the early planning stages, but you can count on some Alfa-oriented fun — perhaps an interesting speaker or two, and some still and/or moving large-screen automotive visuals.

Directions to the Josiah Smith Tavern will be published in the January issue of Velocissima, so keep an eye out there or right here on our web site for more information as the details unfold.

There will be no charge for members and their guests - hey, you’re bringing the food, right? Your club will be renting the hall, providing the soft drinks, and arranging for the entertainment. While preregistration is not required, we are asking that you help us with our planning by signing up, using the form in Velocissima, by contacting AONE Director and event organizer Frank Maldari (978-475-2846, fmaldari@opcolab.com) or Dave Pratt (781-320-8208, dave@dvpratt.com), or online by clicking right here. This will allow us to give the Tavern a head count and make our planning go smoother. If you know what you might bring to eat, let us know so that we can try to balance the feast.

This promises to be a fun affair, and we’re hoping for another good turnout. See you all there!
