Keep On Truckin'

Well, it’s November and the best of the New England driving weather is behind us for the year (for the millennium, for that matter). But don’t give up too soon! Crank up that heater and (if need be) put the top up, and go find some roads! We often don’t get snow until well into December, and if you stop driving your Alfa as late into the winter as possible and start driving again as early as you can in spring, that nasty ol’ New England winter won’t seem nearly as long!

Admittedly, it’ll be a few months before we have such beautiful top-down weather as we had for our AONE tour of the Nashoba Valley Winery on October 2. It was a marvelous, well-attended event that we’re sure to hold again next year, perhaps with a different destination to keep things interesting. Check out the photos and story!

Many of you may have spotted an advertisement for Tom Ducibella’s book The Story of a 1969 Alfa in the October issue of Alfa Owner. AONE placed the ad, and all proceeds from the sale of the book revert to AONE’s coffers, thanks to Tom’s generosity. We’re carrying the ad as well on Page 11 of this month's newsletter, or you can take a look here. If you don’t have a copy of Tom's book, it’s an excellent resource, not just for boattail owners but for anyone interested in restoring an older Alfa.

And don’t forget to hop in your cozy little Alfa and truck on up to Glynn Motorsports for another popular tech session/swap meet on November 6! See y’all there!
