VSCCA Fall Finale
October 22nd & 23rd - Friday & Saturday

Always a great vintage racing weekend! According to Skip Persson of AROCT, last year there was a fine turnout of pre-1960 Alfas. Henry Wessels may bring some exotic beauty again. It’s all pre-1960 cars divided into several classes: Pre-War (WWII that is), under 2-litre slow, under 2-litre fast, over 2-litre, plus a class or two for formula cars and sports racers. If the weather is good, it’s a wonderful, relaxed event. Attendees will have access to the paddocks, drivers, etc. Why not call an Alfa buddy, carpool together for a trip out to Lime Rock Park, and have some fun?

AONE Tech Session/Swap Meet at Glynn Motorsports
November 6 - Saturday

Glynn Motorsports Parking LotPaul Glynn has graciously agreed to host another of his notorious Tech Sessions and Swap Meets at his shop in Rowley, MA on November 6 beginning at 10AM.

The topic for the session will be rear end ailments, so if your Alfa is suffering from such an affliction, this event will surely interest you. And even if your Alfa’s backside is feeling no pain, this will be your chance to examine the insides of a limited slip differential. If you have a LSD in need of a rebuild, or if you have any questions about the event, contact Brian Shorey at bshorey@cisco.com or 978-266-2795.

So bring your Alfa and whatever parts and other Alfa doodads you might have lying around - we’ll be having a swap meet in the parking lot.

Glynn Motorsports is located at 120 Rear Haverhill Street, Rowley, MA 01909. Directions: From I-95 take Route 133 East toward Rowley, straight through a traffic light crossing Route 1, 1-2 miles and turn right at the sign for Glynn Motorsports. Proceed warily as you get close, since it’s easy to miss. There is a large lot to park and display your car, show your parts, play shuffleboard with old hub caps, whatever.

The festivities begin at 10AM and AONE will be supplying light food and drink! See you there!

Fall Sports Car Celebration and Lapping Day
November 10th - Wednesday

Bill Prout will be holding his fourth annual fall driving event at Lime Rock Park. The event is open to all skill levels and types of cars (muffled event), and is one of the most fun events of the season. The event is limited to seventy cars plus instructors. One of the best groups of teachers in the Northeast! Event organizer Bill Prout started his racing career at Lime Rock in 1965 with his ’64 Alfa Sprint and he’s still driving. He went on to become the chief instructor of the Skip Barber Racing School as well as enjoying a professional driving career in Formula Atlantic, Sports Cars, and GT cars. No school, private or club, has better instruction, more track time and a more positive atmosphere than this one. The school is filled on a first-come basis.
