Private AONE Tour of Nashoba Valley Winery
Le Belle Macchine d’Italia is
the largest four-day all Italian automobile and motorcycle event in North America. This
annual event takes place during the July 4th holiday weekend in the beautiful Pocono
Mountains of Eastern Pennsylvania.
The 1999 edition dates are July 1 - 4. The host hotel is the Pocono Manor Inn & Golf Resort. The Concorso d’Eleganza will take place at the hotel’s golf course. The Track Event will take place at Pocono International Raceway, with professional instruction from the Skip Barber & Bertil Roos Driving Schools.
History - Since 1987 the owners of Ferraris, Maseratis and Lamborghinis have been gathering in the beautiful Pocono Mountains of Eastern Pennsylvania, for a Concorso and 2 days of high speed driving at Pocono International Raceway. The following year, DeTomaso owners were invited to attend. The event continued unchanged until 1996 when owners of Alfa Romeo, Fiat, Iso/Bizzarrini and Lancia were invited. The expansion continued in 1997 with the addition of Italian motorcycles such as Bimota, Ducati and Moto Guzzi.

Private AONE Tour of Nashoba Valley Winery
It’s never too early to plan ahead! Flip your calendar ahead and put a mark on Saturday, October 2 for a Private AONE Tour of Nashoba Valley Winery in north central Massachusetts. AONE member Kevin Murphy and his wife Diane have been working to put together this affair, which will begin with a 10-mile Alfa caravan to the Winery, followed by a private Winery tour, tastings (of course), and optionally lunch at their very nice on-site restaurant. More details to follow!
And Looking Ahead . . .
AONE now has a whole new Board of Directors, who will officially be taking the wheel of our club as of July 1. The Directors are charged with organizing all kinds of club events - tech sessions, tours, competition events, rallyes, social gatherings - the whole calzone! So look forward to lots of fun stuff happening as the team gets organized! And don’t forget - you don’t have to be a Director to pitch in - give one of them a call and offer to lend a hand!
