Forza Italiana! - at Lime Rock Park
Italian Car Day at the Museum of Transportation
Forza Italiana! - at Lime Rock Park
Friday, May 14 and Saturday, May 15
Those dates are right - its early this year! Connecticut Alfa Romeo Owners Club is sponsoring two days of drivers school, open practice and timed laps with awards on Friday and Saturday, May 14-15 at Lime Rock Park. The Connecticut chapter has a reputation for hosting a safe, fun event that caters equally to first time track drivers and those with more experience. They offer many of the same instructors that are used by national driving schools, but at a fraction of the cost. Registration preference is given to Italian cars, but all makes are welcome. Anyone who enjoys driving should get out on a racetrack at least once! Most street cars (and race cars) are eligible, and there is never pressure to drive beyond your comfort level. AROC membership is not required to attend the event (i.e. wives and friends are encouraged to participate). Register soon - they try to hold the field to sixty cars! Must be 18 years old, valid drivers license, Snell 90 helmet, open cars must have approved roll bars, etc. $135 for one day or $250 for both. Run and have fun!
