Chatham Airport Day

Saturday, June 10th

AONE MEMBERS ARE ONCE AGAIN INVITED TO BRING THEIR ALFAS TO CHATHAM AIRPORT DAY. AONE members Douglas & Janet Fields are also airplane pilots and Chatham residents, and would love to see some more Alfas added to these events. Several Alfisti attended in the past few years and had a great time!

From 10am until 2pm, the Chatham Airport will be hosting their annual Open House. It is a day of Planes, Trains and Automobiles. Alfas are invited to enjoy this no-fee event, with displays of exotic cars, aircraft, and model trains. You can add a vehicle to the displays alongside aircraft or just come for the fun. There will be food, a flower drop competition for aircraft, remote controlled planes, aviation art, raffles throughout the day, and displays by fire, police, life safety and armed forces units. Please come and enjoy the day!

The location is 240 George Ryder Road, Chatham, MA. If you’d like to display your Alfa with us as a group, please let Douglas know at douglas.fields1@gmail.com. He’ll let the event coordinator know and they will arrange space.

For those of you who are planning to participate, here is a PDF file that shows you the Chatham Airport Open House Show Car Routes, which will guide you as you arrive at and leave the show area.

Don't forget — Alfa Romeo made aircraft engines for many decades, starting in 1910!
